Medical Director
Dr. Robin Dietz Jr. is a board-certified physician with expertise in clinical medicine, laboratory oversight, and digital health innovation. He serves as Medical Director for Ventura Wound Care, where he leads a multidisciplinary team in the management of complex wounds.
In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Dietz is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA and has held multiple medical directorships across Southern California. His background in pathology, informatics, and systems integration supports Ventura Wound Care’s focus on evidence-based, coordinated care to optimize healing outcomes and patient quality of life.
Director of Clinical Operations
Dr. Ioana Schmidt brings extensive experience in clinical operations, patient advocacy, and health systems leadership. With advanced degrees in psychology, sociology, social work, and a PhD from UCLA, she has dedicated her career to improving access to high-quality care for diverse populations.
At Ventura Wound Care, Dr. Schmidt oversees care coordination and ensures that patients and families receive comprehensive, compassionate, and efficient wound care services, integrating social determinants of health into clinical planning.

Lindsey is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a unique background spanning medical aesthetics, surgical assisting, regenerative medicine, and wellness care. Her clinical expertise includes advanced procedural techniques, vascular access, and patient-centered treatment planning.
Before joining Ventura Wound Care, Lindsey held leadership roles in aesthetic and wellness medical practices across Southern California, where she developed clinical protocols and training programs. Her diverse experience enhances the team’s ability to deliver high-level wound care with precision and innovation.
Veronica is a Licensed Vocational Nurse with over seven years of experience in clinical care. Prior to becoming an LVN, she worked as a medical assistant, developing a strong foundation in patient care and clinical support early in her career.
Her professional background includes experience across multiple multi-provider medical clinics within the county, with an emphasis on care coordination and continuity of care. Veronica brings a collaborative, patient-centered approach to wound care, supporting comprehensive treatment planning within the multidisciplinary team.
Lisa is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, specializing in oncology, palliative care, and complex wound management in the home setting. She is certified in Oncology Nursing (OCN) and Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN), and brings extensive experience caring for medically complex patients requiring skilled wound care, IV antibiotics, hydration, and pain and symptom management at home.
Her background includes managing wounds related to cancer treatments, surgical recovery, and chronic illness, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based interventions and patient safety. She has a proven history of collaborating closely with hematology, oncology, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Known for her compassionate approach, patient advocacy, and family-centered care, Lisa supports Ventura Wound Care’s mission to deliver high-quality, physician-led wound care services directly to patients where they heal best—at home.
Matthew, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant with a strong background in orthopedics, acute care, and emergency medicine. He has worked closely with orthopedic surgeons managing musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical recovery, and complex traumatic and orthopedic wounds. Matthew’s clinical background includes experience with Dignity Health in Santa Maria and prior work as an anesthesia technician, providing a solid foundation in perioperative and procedural care.
He also served more than three years as a firefighter and EMT in Utah, bringing valuable frontline experience in trauma assessment, wound management, and urgent medical decision-making. His diverse experience supports Ventura Wound Care’s mission to deliver high-quality, collaborative wound care for patients with complex surgical, orthopedic, and traumatic needs.
